Position Assistant Professor, Medicine Role in MaHPIC Dr. Uppal has developed several R packages and web applications for processing, annotating, analyzing and integrating metabolomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics data. He had experience in using text mining techniques for literature-based discovery and relation extraction. He has been involved with the MaHPIC consortium since its inception in 2012 and has been leading the data processing, management, quality control, annotation, and transfer of raw and processed metabolomics data in standard format to the MaHPIC Informatics Core at UGA.
